Our experienced team of vets are always available when your pet needs them. Our consultations are all-inclusive, meaning no extra charges for services like nail clipping or anal gland checks done during a consultation. Nor will you be charged extra for a vet consultation for something typically done by a nurse, unless additional treatment or advice is needed. We do encourage you to use our skilled nursing team to allow vets to focus on critical cases.
We aim to keep you with the same vet during treatment. If you need to see a different vet, they will have your pet's full records. If you prefer a specific vet, let reception know when booking.
You may not always need to see a vet, as many services are provided by our nurses. As well as routine care such as nail clipping, anal glands, and post-op care, our nurses also carry out advanced triage and history taking. This means you may be directed to a nurse in the first instance when your pet is unwell. They will examine your pet and gather all the information before liaising with the vet on what to do next.
We are a nurse training practice, and all our nurses are either qualified or in training. Students are supervised by qualified staff and can only perform tasks once they meet the required standard. Training levels are shown on name badges and sleeves
Vet Louise Cole, holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling from Southampton University. Behaviour issues can disrupt both pet and owner, so we’re pleased to offer expert advice.
Behaviour problems are often linked to medical issues. A clinical examination helps determine the diagnosis, and a treatment plan can be created. Louise handles complex cases, and we can refer to veterinary behaviourists if needed. Since anyone can claim to be a "behaviourist," we advise contacting us first to ensure you get the right help.
While behaviour problems don't have quick fixes, early intervention can lead to significant improvement. We’re happy to offer phone advice for any concerns.
We provide a comprehensive pet travel services to ensure your pet's journey is smooth and stress-free. We offer assistance with the necessary paperwork for both EU and non-EU countries, including health certificates and export documents. Our vets can also provide guidance on the required vaccinations, treatments, and other pet care essentials needed before travel.
The requirements for pet travel can be complex, so the first step will be a call back from one of our OVs (Official Veterinarians, qualified to complete the government paperwork). This allows us to assess your pet's specific travel requirements and ensure we arrange the correct documents at the right times for you to travel.

Both of our branches are fully equipped for a wide range of surgical procedures. Our experienced vets are skilled in all routine first opinion surgeries, from spays and neuters to dental procedures, we have the facilities and expertise to perform these surgeries safely and effectively.
In addition, we have vets with special interests who are experienced in more specific procedures, including cruciate surgery, cherry eye correction, and anal gland removal. Our vet, Daisy, is currently working towards a post-graduate certificate in small animal surgery, adding to our ability to offer more advanced surgical procedures. With our dedicated team, we ensure your pet receives expert care for all their surgical needs.
We now offer Laser Therapy for a variety of conditions, such as post-op healing, arthritis, and wound healing to name a few. Laser Therapy has pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, and healing effects by providing energy to cells, enhancing their function and helping them heal faster. Sessions typically last 20-30 minutes and are usually carried out by our nurses.
Laser is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that is often well-tolerated by pets, even nervous ones. If you think Laser Therapy could benefit your pet, please speak to one of our vets or nurses, who will assess whether it's suitable for their needs. In some cases single treatments or short courses are used, but for chronic conditions like arthritis it is same to use on a regular ongoing course, often every 2-4 weeks.
Vets Louise and Sian are both qualified in acupuncture and a members of the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists (ABVA). Acupuncture uses fine needles at specific points to relieve pain, stimulate nerves, improve blood flow, and release endorphins. Most pets find it relaxing, and sessions last about 20 minutes. Initial treatments are weekly, then tailored to your pet's needs.

Acupuncture is primarily used for pain relief, especially in conditions like chronic arthritis, and can help with muscle spasms caused by altered movement. It can complement conventional treatments, as well as laser therapy and hydrotherapy, to optimize recovery. Acupuncture can also be used for wound healing and other conditions. If you're interested, speak to your vet, who can refer you to Louise if needed.
